Great pub and location, it's busy though 👍, great selection of beers. Had a fish finger sandwich which was really tasty. Its located by a bridge, river, road, path, you just end up there which ever way you go. Really good beers did I mention, pretty good gin selection. If the sun is shining then get yourself a pint by the Thames.
I love this pub, my first choice for when I am in Oxford. Food is decent with a reasonable vegetarian selection, which is important to me. Good selection of wine and beer, which is what we opt for. With seating both inside and out comfortable, my favourite being sitting outside on a summer afternoon right on the river.

I loved this hotel and would definitely like to go back. *a few maintenance needed but still nothing to mess up my time. My room as lovely and nice and out the way, just what i needed to get some sleep. Food was lovely. Wish i get to see the gardens but just did not have the time so also never got to see what was around. I loved my room and was lovely and warm too.
Great staff very clean and comfortable rooms. The bathroom is big hot water available all day long. The food is great at the restaurant. Breakfast is superior eggs royal is a must try. Loved the complimentary fizzy water along with coffee and tea.

Very good food. Ambience was nice and service good. Menu is well thought out and the special was superb. Waiters were attentive but not in the way. Recommend for a romantic or family meal.
A wonderful restaurant in an historic place. Fabulous food, and wines, and a first class service. Staff all helpful and accommodating. Walls are adorned with an eclectic range of art and prints. Always an inviting fire. Plus a great outdoor area to eat and drink. Right in the heart of St. Giles of Oxford.

Good food and Decent service but a couple of the waitresses were "fill ins" and didnt usually work there. Brought out a side order as a starter. But then we got another for free with the mains. My main was a pizza called Diablo which was quite nice. There was a bit of a See Through Jam like substance spread on the middle of the pizza and although I had and still have no idea what is, It did taste nice.
Fabulous food, we were really impressed, staff attentive and very helpful, great location, really nice decked garden area. Would definitely go again !!

I took my wife there for lunch today. We went for the Whookey Hole Cheddar sandwich and chips. The chips were perfect but the bread was very thinly sliced and a bit hard, we sent both back. The replacement Bloomer style roll was great. Lovely pub, beautiful company and sunshine what more could a man ask for!😎
Pleasant enough tucked away place for a drink and food. Easy to come of the duel carriage way but harder to get back to the opposite direction. Thank goodness for satnav! Bit pricey, but par for the course in Oxford.

Reliably consistent pub. Wide choice of beers with lots of other drinks. Great place for meeting friends. Food typical pub stuff, box ticked. Beer garden is more than expected from street.
Always have a good time here. Staff are friendly and I have never received any hassle from the patrons. Often use this place as my local. The food is delicious, and has moderate prices. I would recommend that you ask the bar staff what they have as a special, as I've often discovered some little gems that aren't on tap. I've been to a couple of events that have been held here, and they have been a lot of fun. I am very curious to try their new mini golf section, but am yet to have a warm evening on a visit! All in all, I very much enjoy this venue.

Stayed at this wonderful B&B for two nights with a friend. Our host (Stuart) was incredibly warm, considerate and knowledgeable and the property was absolutely gorgeous! It was absolutely surreally charming and I would highly recommend staying here, it was the highlight of an amazing trip. The B&B incredibly centrally located, so we could easily walk to both the shopping and the colleges, but still quiet so we could sleep. Breakfast (included) was top notch - Stuart was happy to make breakfast daily to order, and was very flexible about time and menu. The B&B is also very close to some charming pubs and restaurants. Check in and check out were a breeze. Stuart is also a local tour guide, and is incredibly knowledgeable about the town and its history, as well as the surrounding area. We went on his tour, and he was also able to give us some great pointers about what to see and when -- the Oxford visiting schedule is impenetrable and not even followed, even when it is online at all, so a local is essential to see anything.
Had a lovely stay at holywell will go back for the chef's bacon butties thanks stuart

Great place to stay if you want a friendly B&B
Clean rooms with shower room, friendly staff. Greeted with a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit by the owner, enjoyed the European breakfast in the morning.

A good bed and breakfast with good proximity to shops and restaurants! The breakfast service was excellent and my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Clean as a whistle. Excellent, but excellent breakfast. Thin walls... Staff attitude perfunctory. Bed, 5/10...
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Fine park with outstandingly helpful staff. Yes it is a bit noisy with the railway nearby. I had one slightly noisy night but two quiet ones. It is a caravan park in a city. You get tremendous convenience but expect a bit of background city noise. Buses and good shops are short walking distance. The amenities block is very dated and a bit crummy. This would have been a 2 star rating but the level of staff service really lifts it. A pleasure to meet and stay there. I am a touring cyclist and was tenting it. A tent site for £8 a night, in a city, outstanding value. A new amenities block would make this a 4 star park.
This campsite is in a good location with just a short 30 minute walk into Oxford. Staff were helpful. Facilities could do with some investment to bring them up to modern standards.
